Rate Each Day: Results
by:Pox
2013/01/17
So last month, I decided to rate each day and I asked that people participate.

About 20 others signed up. We will look at how they did shortly! But first, how did I do?

So in green is my daily score, which was an average of 4 factors: Work (10points), working out(10points), food(10points) and everything else(10points). If I achieved my goals on the first 3, I got 10/10. For the everything else category, if nothing good or bad happened in the day, I got 10 and if something good or bad happened then it added or subtracted from that number. So there we go.

You can see that my mood is vaguely correlated with how I did each day. That may be because I rated my mood at the end of each day so how I feel was greatly influenced by how the day went. That's some kind of good news at least since it means I can do SOMETHING to affect my mood. The downside is that it's a lot of work. Fwa fwa. Here's a chart with all 4 things separated:

From this we see that I work out consistently, eat decently but my work is random and wild. Also you know that each day is pretty much average of slightly better. Basically nothing bad really ever happens to me.

Average scores for the month:

Work: 7.58/10
Food: 8.35/10
Workout: 9.83/10
Other: 11.61/20
Other: 11.61/20
Rating: 7.47/10
Mood: 6.29

My average mood for the month was above what I would consider average ( 5/10) which I find weird because I constantly remember that I feel like shit. But at the end of most days, apparently I rated that day as going about as well as planned. What probably happened is that I made the chart in a fair unbiased way whereas my actual feelings and impression of myself are not realistic and reasonable. Working all day is really all I CAN do, but I keep feeling like I should also be making a million bucks and jumping into a pool of Swedish model vaginas. It seems that as long as you're unhappy about certain aspects of your life, working at bettering them is only part of the solution towards feeling good about yourself.

Well unless you're a kid or an idiot.

Anyway, let's see how you guys did:

Avg: 7.22/10

No matter how smart, athletic, good-looking, educated and rich we become, there's still going to be 50% of people who are below average. And it won't be me, you losers.
