But... What is a dessert? You could have an apple after your meal and that's a dessert. In fact for poor starving children that's a 5 service dinner at a Michelin star restaurant and he should be suspicious that the other tribe members are fattenning him up to eat him later.

Dictionary.com defines dessert as:

"cake, pie, fruit, pudding, ice cream, etc., served as the final course of a meal."

Holy shit, "etc." ? THAT MEANS I GET TO DECIDE? Time to be a huge asshole to myself.

Rules:

- No eating sugary crap after any meal.
- No "healthy" desserts ( all your gluten free, low carb, high fiber bullshit that has just as many calories as a slice of bacon wrapped in Nutella)
- No candy or terrible snacks.

However I bike and the body does need SOME kind of energy to function. What COULD one eat as snacks or meals that is kind of like cake but not really? What has sugar? These things:

By this point you've probably realized this is a way more forgiving challenge than you thought at first and really the main point of this is for me to not start eating cake after a 20 pound plate of ribs just because it's there and my mouth muscles work just as well whether or not I'm hungry. That 8$ piece of cake at the restaurant adds 500 calories to your already decadent diner so why pay that much to be fat?

I invite you all to try this! Get rid of this habit of rewarding yourself for eating all your food with cake. I mean, what are you? 8 years old? You still need to trick yourself into eating vegetables with the promise of ice cream?

EXCEPTION:

I promised my girlfriend I would eat a big piece of cake with her to celebrate the end of her semester. It was supposed to happen before this year but we got busy ( too busy for cake, yes it's possible). So that'll happen!
